Bulova’s Military Collection honors the brand’s rich history of producing timepieces for the United States Armed Forces during the golden era of the mechanical wristwatch. The Bulova Hack pays tribute to the classic field watch design, with the “Hack” name being a reference to the hacking seconds function that permitted soldiers to synchronize their watches for coordinated timekeeping on missions.

Featuring a 38mm stainless steel case and a lug width of 18mm, the Bulova Hack is available with the option of either a black or ivory colored dial, and just as you would expect to find on a proper military-inspired timepiece, both dial variants include a 24-hour track along their inner perimeters for at-a-glance readings of military time. The ivory colored version is paired with a black leather strap and receives a classic brushed steel finish, while the case of the black dial model is dark gray in color and fitted with a leather strap in a military-appropriate shade of green. A solid stainless steel case-back and 30 meters of water resistance protect the Bulova Hack from moisture intrusion, while luminous hands and hour markers offer optimal visibility, even in low-light conditions.

Powering the Bulova Hack is the reliable self-winding Miyota 82S0 mechanical movement, which offers users a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. As you would expect from a watch named the “Hack,” the cal. 82S0 includes a hacking seconds feature - just like the original military-issued Bulova watches that were worn by soldiers during the middle part of the 20th century.

About Bulova

Founded in 1875, Bulova is an American watch company based in New York City that was one of the most prominent brands in the industry throughout most of the 20th century. A true household name, Bulova is credited with numerous contributions to watchmaking, including creating the world’s first fully-electronic wristwatch using the brand’s proprietary tuning-fork based technology. Bulova timepieces have been issued to members of the United States Military, used on 46 different NASA missions, and even worn by astronauts on the surface of the Moon. Since 2008, Bulova has been owned by Citizen Watch Co. and the company continues to operate out of its New York City headquarters, producing high-quality timepieces that honor the brand’s remarkable and diverse history.
