Bulova extends its Shelby partnership with the latest Racer Chronograph, a limited edition modeled after the 50th Anniversary Aluminum Edition Daytona Coupe. Rather than borrowing loosely from the car, the design translates specific details directly onto the dial and case, aiming at those who want a genuine automotive tribute rather than a generic racing-inspired watch. It ships in a dedicated Shelby presentation box that includes a 1/24-scale silver-plated Daytona Coupe model and a second, brown leather padded strap.

The case is a high-polish stainless steel build at 40.5mm with a 22mm lug width, topped by a mirror-polished dial meant to echo the aluminum finish of the actual Daytona Coupe body. Subdials are styled after the car's dash gauges, and the bracelet uses a split finish that mirrors the vehicle's double racing stripes; a stainless steel deployant clasp with push-button release keeps it secure. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, and the caseback carries a glass insert etched with both the Bulova and Daytona Coupe logos. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters, and the finished piece weighs 173 grams.

Powering the watch is Bulova's proprietary NP20 high-precision quartz movement, which oscillates at 262kHz — far above standard quartz frequencies — for tighter accuracy. That higher beat rate is also what allows the smooth, non-ticking sweep of the chronograph and running-seconds hands, giving the watch a fluid motion usually associated with mechanical movements rather than quartz.
